Boat Trailer Lugs, Keep them removable |

A few minutes of your time and not much money, can ensure that you will always be able to maintain your boat trailer. Once you back into salt water that first time, the clock is ticking. We cannot stop the inevitable rusting of steel parts, but you can slow it down considerably. While clean and dry, spray all of your steel and moving parts with a spray lithium grease or similar coating. It will create a barrier for a while against the salt. Reapply as needed and those lugs will budge when you need it most!
